ZRP Eliminator 008

Eliminator is co-owned with and was raised by Centennial Angus in Culbertson, MT.  His dam, “0023”, was about as structurally correct and phenotypically perfect as you could find.  Eliminator’s sire’s dam, 020, is also the dam of our 911 herd bull.  Our first set of calves out of Eliminator were born in the spring of 2014.  The first thing you notice about his calves is their thickness and capacity.  The vast majority of his progeny’s birth weights are in the 80-90 lb. range with a few up to 95 lbs.  Eliminator’s calves show explosive early growth and muscle mass.  We […]

YA Rito 71 Enduro “911”

We purchased an interest in 911 after seeing his progeny at Yadon Angus in Manhattan, MT. His mother, 020, who is now 14 years old, is a member of our donor group.  911 is a calving-ease sire.  He, his progeny and his dam have extremely quiet dispositions.  No doubt 911’s daughters are going to be his strongest attribute as a sire.  His pedigree is loaded with many of the top maternal sires and dams in the breed and his daughters look the part.  They are long bodied, feminine, broody and peas in a pod.  911 is now deceased, having suffered […]

OCC Linebred 661L

We used Linebred to AI our yearling heifers the past two years and have found him to be a tremendously consistent calving-ease sire.  Birth weights on his calves are almost without fail from 70-78 lbs. and his calves are up and nursing in a flash.  Linebred is 26% inbred which no doubt explains the extraordinary consistency of his calves.  The famed Dixie Erica of CH “1019” cow is the dam all four times in the third generation of his pedigree, with FO203 and Rito 707 appearing almost countless times in his extended pedigree.  We love the “1019” look in his […]

Coleman Rito 149 “8296”

Co-owned with Centennial Angus, Culbertson, MT We purchased 8296 from Coleman Angus in Charlo, MT because we liked him both individually and for his pedigree.  After getting his first calf crop on the ground, we were a bit concerned that some of his calves’ birth weights were on the upper end of what we consider acceptable.  But as his calves developed and his daughters came into production, we recognized that his positives far outweigh our concerns over his birth weight.  Sired by Rito 149 and out of the Dixie Erica cow family at Rollin Rock, you would expect 8296’s daughters […]

Octoraro Ritolation 257–Duplex

We found this bull at J.Bob Hould’s near Havre, MT.  We call him Duplex. I liked his structural makeup but what really peaked my interest was his pedigree.  He traces 5 times to Shoshone Viking GD60, 4 times to Emulation 31, 2 times to Rito 054 GDAR and once to FO203, all in his 3-generation pedigree.  The dam all 4 times in the third generation of his pedigree is Octoraro Delia 503, the foundation pathfinder dam by Emulation 31 from Sam Wylie’s herd in Pennsylvania.  Duplex carries an inbreeding co-efficient of 23.63%.  This bull represents our commitment to finding and […]

Coleman Emulation EXT 2245

A son of EXT, we purchased 2245 at The Coleman/Trexler 2014 bull sale.  His dam, Sinclair Eriskay 2N1 7883, was the mother of 5 of the 7 top selling bulls in that sale.  She boasts a production record of 8 NR @ 111 and 5 YR @ 108.  2245 was our pick of the EXT flush.  He is long, deep, thick and very wide based with a straight level top line.  2245 is gentle and easy to handle.  Currently, we are using him to pasture breed a group of 35 first calf two year olds.  He is a free, easy […]
